The Assemble Model

Because home ownership
should be more than just a dream!

How it works

The idea is simple – live in your home and community before choosing
to buy. Your rent and future purchase price are agreed upfront, giving you stability
while you save. Have the freedom to leave if work, love or life take you elsewhere.

1 – Before you move in

Secure a 5-year lease with the opportunity to
purchase your home at the end of your lease.
With your future purchase price fixed and rent
agreed upfront, get a head start while you
save towards a set goal.

2 – Live in your home and community before choosing to buy

Move in, get settled and make yourself at home!
Enjoy communal spaces where the community can
thrive and have the freedom to leave if work,
life or love takes you elsewhere. You won’t go
it alone – we’re here to support you.

3 – Choose to buy your home

After 5 years, you’ll have the opportunity to buy
your home and make the keys your own –
hooray!

15 Thompson St.
Kensington

Around the corner from our project at 393 Macaulay Rd, the next Assemble project is taking shape.

Since launching the Assemble Model last year, we have fallen in love with the village-like character and industrial heritage of Kensington and couldn’t think of a better place to build our next community.

15 Thompson St, Kensington will be more than just a building. Our vision is for a truly diverse, socially connected neighbourhood. A hub for residents and the wider Kensington community.

We have teamed-up with architecture practice, Hayball to bring our vision to life. Hayball brings to this project a wealth of knowledge and experience in building communities. You can read more about our partnership here.

Meet our residents

“What really appealed to me about Assemble was the collaborative design aspect. The Assemble team works with the community that is going to live there and incorporates their thoughts and needs into the design… things the residents are going to want and that they’ve helped conceive.”
